SD Card DEAD!

I lent my 1GB SD Card to a colleague who went to Japan for holiday. Who knows when she's back she told me that my memory card is dead! It can't be read/detected at all. My colleague was quite upset about it, cos most of the photos and videos were taken using my SD card. I'm feeling very paiseh. Maybe I shouldn't lend her my memory card in the first place. Sigh!

I downloaded alot of softwares and try to recover the data but none of the software can detect the card at all. Anyone can help???
