Taipei Trip Day 1
We set off at 12pm. We brought along a big luggage, small luggage and a hand carry bag. Well as expected it was hard to wait for a cab at my block downstairs, so we decided to walk to the main road. And Chloe ask me to carry her! I asked her to walk on her own, we are flagging a cab. She was very unreluctant. Carried her awhile and really had to give up, luckily there's a cab and I ask her to come down and ran after the cab. Very weird thing is, whenever we are not taking a cab, Chloe has the tendency of flagging a cab, when we really want to take a cab, she don't want to flag.. weird right??
Journey to the airport was smooth, we went to checkin our luggage straight away. Long queue.. typical Singaporeans, KS! We had to check-in the 2 luggage and the hand carry bag as the flight is fully packed. We waited for about 45mins then managed to settle the check-in process and proceed for lunch... no time liao.. left only 25mins for us to settle our lunch.
After lunch we proceed to the gate, D47 if i didn't remember wrongly. Have to walk all the way to almost the end. We waited for about 5 to 10mins before we got onto the plane. Gosh, the seats are so cramped. We are seated at the 2nd row. As the plane started to move on the runway, Chloe fell asleep as it was rocky and her nap time was around that time. Good for me! She slept for almost 2hrs, not too bad, almost 1/2 the flight journey is gone.

Chloe asked for milk but we checkin the bag which has her milk bottle and milk powder. End up we ordered a cup of milo for her. Sitting behind us was a couple with an infant. The infant was quite cranky. So occasionally Chloe will climbed up and turned over to look at the baby. Then she will action to me that the baby crying. When the baby stopped crying, then it's Chloe's turn to be cranky. They really take turns to be cranky.
The plane reached TPE earlier than expected. Though it's around 6.30pm, the sky is totally dark. The sun sets super early over at Taipei. Got down from the plane and went to collect our luggage, after that we proceed to the taxi stand. We were approached by a guy who said they provide Mercedes ride, it's like taxi ride but their car is rented one. He quoted us NT1200 (~SG$60) from airport to Eileen's place. Luckily before that Eileen already told us roughly the market rate, which is around that price. We tried to bargain but failed. That guy said if we take public taxi via meter it will cost more, perhaps NT1400.
The uncle who was driving us is not too sure where exactly we want to go. Luckily Eileen sms me more info, and she sent me the pix of her building (so I had a rough idea how the building looks like). The whole taxi ride took about 1hr because it's peak hour, jam. When we reach Eileen's place, she happen to come down and welcome us. Timing is just nice!
We brought our luggage up, and headed nearby for dinner. Had beef noodles, the beef noodles is different from what we normally had in singapore. Too bad I'm poor with descriptions and forgot to take pix of the noodles. :P
After dinner we headed back to Eileen's place to unpack our luggage. That ends the day. :)
