D-Day Admission
I couldn't really sleep the previous night, think was feeling excited that the day is finally here! Slept at almost 2am, woke up at 6am. Went to steam char siew buns for my breakfast. Forgot to heat up and drink chicken essence this time round. Quickly had my "last shower" and do another round of check to ensure I din missed out anything that I need to bring to the hospital.
Left the house at 7:15am. Reached hospital at 7:30am. We were 30mins earlier cos it's a Sunday and no jam at all. The staff at the reception brought me up to the delivery ward. One of the nurse attended to us and ask me why I'm admitted, is it because I feel contractions or pain. I said my gynae told me to come in for induce. She said, "how come today so many people admit for delivery? Is it a good day? What is the lunar date?" As the delivery ward is full, I had to wait at other ward. Change into the hospital clothings and then went to clear my bowels. Heard the next door ward having a delivery, think the gynae is asking the lady to PUSH.. sounds scary.
The midwife did some survey with me on the previous labour. She asked me how long I took for the previous labour. I told her 1.5hrs and she can't believe what she heard. She said, "People take 1.5hrs to push, you take 1.5hrs for the whole labour???"
Shortly after that, my gynae came and then I was allowed to proceed into the delivery ward.....
